Restrictions on permissible lengths and drafts of vessels in Kerch Sea port are stated by following of Port' Chief Order.
THE ORDER No 681
Of Kerch Sea trade port, dated February, 20, 2004
On basis of “Rules of technical operation of port structures and water areas” ( РД 31.35.10.86 dated 05/08/87 No 119 p.3.1.13) and by results of depths measurements executed in November - December 2003 alongside port piers, and also measurement at pier № 5 dated 9.2.2004 I order:

The passage drafts are specified related to "0" point of Kerch port. The actual drafts determinate by Water measurement checkpost each 24 hrs, reflects a sea level (fluctuation of a sea level from plus 15 up to 40 cm).
There are 38 berths with depths ranging from 8 to 13 m.
The berth line totals over 8,000 m. The port has 7 terminals for handling dry cargoes as well as passenger, oil and container terminals. The port can handle up to 38 millions tons of cargo per year.
