Omega Grain Terminal
Specification
There are 2 half-sphere grain storages nearby berth No 4; capacity of each is 18,000 cub. m. Quantity of railcars to be discharge into terminal is 120 per 24 hrs. Limited quantity of cereal crops may be stored. Total loading rate (directly on board from RW cars and from terminal's container) about 5,000 - 6,000 tons per 24 hrs.
Reception of a cargo
The railway cars with a grain move onto point of a grain reception. Over here cars are outweighed on electronic scales gross weight and unload a grain on a conveyor tape. The grain is transported to storage.
Cargo output
From storages grain gets into 2 accumulate tanks by 60 tons each. Mechanical gauges measure weight of a grain in these tanks. Then cargo is poured in special transport containers, which are delivered to board of the vessel, and then by shore cranes grain pouring in hold.
For increase of cargo volumes loading on board stevedores can organize loading of the vessel from railway cars by coastal cranes directly. At this way of loading the railway car is removed from wheelbase and rises by the crane above hold, then the grain is poured from the car.
Additional limitation on ship's particulars
Distance between Main (Cargo) deck standers should not be over 18.0 m OR breadth between longitudinal coamings of cargo holds over 9.5 m . Otherwise container or railcar cannot be inserted above hold.
